Hays Marketing are pleased to be working with a local B2B electronics company in the Newbury area in their search for a Marketing and Business Development Manager to lead Marketing efforts for the business.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives and driving business growth through new client acquisition and existing customer retention.
The Role
- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns, digital strategies, and content plans to promote the company's services.
- Brand Management: Strengthen and manage the company's brand presence, ensuring consistency across all platforms, including website, social media, and industry publications.
- Market Research and Analysis: Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to guide product positioning and marketing efforts.
- Develop compelling marketing materials, including case studies, brochures, newsletters, and white papers.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, Google Ads, social media, email campaigns, and paid advertisements to generate leads and improve online visibility. Track marketing performance and return on investment.
- Plan and manage participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences throughout the UK and EU, ensuring effective promotion and lead generation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company's customer base across target industries.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals, negotiating and closing contracts with clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and exploring opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies to secure new business and support existing client engagement.
- Explore new geographic markets, expanding presence in the UK and internationally.
The Candidate
- 5 + years in marketing and business development roles
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and client requirements.
- Proven track record of generating and closing new business, achieving sales targets, and managing a pipeline of opportunities.
- Ability to analyse market data and trends, customer needs, competitor activity and business opportunities to shape marketing and sales strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate with clients at all levels. Preparation of monthly reports to management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Oversight and management of the marketing budget
- Flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
