We are seeking a competent and experienced Document Controller to join our Clients team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to apply your document management skills in a dynamic and challenging environment, with the support of our experienced team. As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing documents, ensuring their accuracy, and maintaining efficient document management processes. Your attention to detail and knowledge of document management techniques will contribute to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Document Controller, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Registering and capturing documents in the EDMS, including Cavendish, Client, or any relevant sub-contractor's documentation
• Reviewing document formats, coding, and adherence to checking and approval processes for signatures
• Circulating documents for review, information, and acceptance
• Providing daily, weekly, and monthly status reports
• Archiving, closeout, and handover at project completion

Additional Key Accountabilities:
In addition to the main responsibilities, you will also be responsible for:
• Allocating Cavendish and Client document numbering systems
• Administering the EDMS, performing Super user permissions such as creating vaults, managing users and their permissions, and making changes to workflows, data cards, and reports
• Managing the Document Control Group shared Inbox
• Controlling electronic document and drawing files
• Circulating documents for review, information, and acceptance
• Managing the document revision process and retention
• Filing and retaining documents, both hard copy and electronic originals
• Issuing controlled documentation as required for the project
• Ensuring all deliverables required for handover to the Client are stored during the project or interim delivery at agreed stages

Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment/business sector
• Awareness of various contracting methodologies (eg FIDIC/NEC3/JCT)
• Advanced knowledge of document management techniques
• Experience with various document management tools
• Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out

Qualifications:
In addition to relevant experience, we also require the following qualifications:
• Relevant qualification in Information Management
• National Diploma in Business Admin (Level 4) or equivalent qualification
• Experience in applying document management in a complex environment
• Professional qualification (eg APM/CMII) or equivalent
