CAD Draughtsman
Annual Salary: Up to £35k, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time - 4 Day Week
Reed Engineering are delighted to be partnering with a successful research and manufacturing company who cover worldwide, supplying bespoke machinery. They work a 4 day week and are located in between Basingstoke and Newbury. They are seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsman to join the team, taking design briefs from our engineers and transforming them into detailed, workable engineering and manufacturing designs. This role requires proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD, with a focus on machine design.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand and interpret design briefs.
- Utilise Inventor and AutoCAD to create accurate 3D models and associated drawings for manufacturing.
- Ensure all CAD drawings and designs meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to provide support and resolve any potential design issues.
- Manage and maintain project documentation and CAD file organisation.
- Continuously improve your technical skills and stay updated with the latest CAD technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in CAD draughting, specifically within machine design.
- Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret complex design briefs and create detailed engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of tribology is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
