We're working on behalf of a brilliant special school based in Newbury that are on the lookout for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to support at their secondary site. They are a brand new site so boast some fantastic new facilities.
hearing feedback from a TA we recently placed at the school has been so encouraging, he commented on how brilliant these facilities are and also on how the students are not as challenging as many other SEMH environments!
The role
The role is mainly revolved around supporting the class teacher with whatever they need, alongside other TA's. They're an incredibly supportive team and will be looking for people who want to work as part of a team and help develop others.
Due to the needs of the students it is important you feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. Experience working with secondary aged students & SEN/SEMH is preferred.
