We work closely with a lovely special school in the Newbury area that are looking for SEMH Teaching Assistants at their Primary & Secondary site. The school look after students with a range of special needs but are primarily focused around students with SEMH.

The school are a lovely little site that are a fantastic environment to work in. Feedback I've had from TA's recently placed at the school has been incredibly positive, all commenting on how lovely the team of staff there are and how rewarding the work is.

The role

TA'ing is mostly revolved around providing support to the class teacher with whatever support they need and being as proactive as possible in supporting students inside and outside of the classroom.

They'll be looking for people who are proactive, patient, enthusiastic, positive and naturally good with challenging behaviour. Ideally you would have worked in a special school environment before but the school is open to a range of different applications.
