Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Shifts Pattern: Panama Shifts
Salary: Circa 50,000 + Overtime Available + 15% Pension + 33 days holiday + Share Scheme
My client, an industry leading manufacturing company, is searching for an experienced electrically qualified maintenance engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Your role will be split between planned and preventative maintenance, on automated production equipment including; test and troubleshoot industrial communication systems, control and detection devices, prime movers, inverter drives, and sensing devices, hydraulic/pneumatic valves, drive motors, prox switches, laser detectors, pressure sensors, integration and modifying PLCs / SCADA software.
Role responsibilities:
- Monitoring, modifying, and managing plant equipment and facilities.
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
- Responding to equipment breakdowns.
- Developing and implementing facility improvements.
- Assisting with the installation of new equipment during weekly maintenance windows or plant shutdowns
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working as a maintenance engineer on an automated manufacturing site.
- Time-served electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ and above qualified.
- Previous experience working with networked plant systems and PLC's, control software, SCADA.
- Proactive problem-solving and support capability aligned with business needs.
- Your attention to detail and ability to follow compliance policies will ensure high standards across all aspects of the role.
- Carry out shut down preparatory work and implement continuous improvement on shift.
- Possess a sound knowledge of working with, and the testing of, industrial communication systems and protocols, system control and detection devices, prime movers.
