Reed Accountancy are seeking an experienced Finance Manager, ideally with a background in Property or Hospitality, to join our client in Newbury. This role is perfect for a professional who enjoys system improvements and process creation, while also engaging with various departments within the business.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial functions and leading the month-end processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and income audit functions.
- Lead the month-end process
- Manage and oversee the cash flow process.
- Ensure tight deadlines are met consistently.
- Improve and streamline existing financial processes to cut costs and save time.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management reports.
- Liaise across departments and communicate with senior management to ensure financial best practices are followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong background in financial management and accounting, AAT qualification preferred.
- Proven leadership experience or capability to manage senior responsibilities, particularly in liaising with business owners.
- Experience in the Property or Hospitality sector is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Excel and experience with or willingness to learn Xero.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
