Playworker - Newbury

Level 3 Childcare

A local Newbury based Primary school is recruiting for a Playworker - Newbury role, to be involved in the childcare setting, ensuring that a safe, happy environment is provided for all children, to adhere to all policies and procedures and to manage the team. The candidate must have Level 3 childcare (Level 2 also considered).

Main Duties:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering high quality, child-led play opportunities within a safe, caring environment
  • Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering safely to their parents/carers
  • Forming and leading a strong leadership team with the other colleagues.
  • Working closely with the office team and Directors to ensure the smooth, safe operation of the clubs
  • Working with the school and community representatives (e.g. our school settings) where necessary for the smooth, safe operation of the clubs
  • Ensuring that any sensitive information concerning children, staff, parents and the wider community is held confidentially by the whole team
  • Being involved in regular staff meetings and conducting regular reviews and appraisals for staff

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £83.50 - £90 per day

Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm, Monday - Friday (term time only)

Start date: 3rd Februray 2025
