SEMH Teaching Assistant

Always Flourishing are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced childcare professional in support of a brand-new special needs school in Newbury.

What you need to know:

- The role is of SEMH Teaching Assistant/Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant.
- It is offered as a temporary agency assignment, although a permanent position would be considered for the right person.
- Payments are made weekly based on a daily rate of 85 - 95 per day.
- We would ideally like someone to start immediately, although this is not mandatory.

This school is tailored to specifically support children with emotional, mental health related needs and find it difficult to regulate on a daily basis.

The right person for this role would be someone who has the ability to build rapport with people and children from all walks of life, especially those who have suffered trauma or have been neglected throughout childhood.

The school focus on helping them to understand socially acceptable behaviour and how to regulate themselves to be able to leave school with the skills they need to thrive.

The successful person will:

- Have experience working with children from a similar background with similar needs.
- Be able to build rapport and speak to anyone.
- Need patience and resilience to overcome the daily challenges of this role.
- A minimum of GCSE level education.
