HR Generalist

Up to £40k + Hybrid

Initial 6 month contract

Scope:

Our client, a leading global manufacturing technology company, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their Newbury site on an initial 6 month contract. This role centralises around the support creation, updating, and applying of HR policies and firm guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to employees, HR groups, and management, handling various HR transactions as part of a centralized function.
  • Maintain employee records, input data into the HRIS system, and process forms related to new hires, status changes, performance evaluations, benefits, and terminations.
  • Conduct new-hire orientations, prepare special reports (e.g., insurance, headcount), and assist with compensation and benefits data gathering and analysis.
  • Support the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and assisting with onboarding.
  • Assist with employee relations issues, including investigations, dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, and provide payroll changes to the payroll department.
  • Manage training, performance management, benefits administration, HR policy implementation, and employee offboarding, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

About You:

  • Proven track record in managing HR operational functions, including employee relations, compliance, and performance management in a unionized environment.
  • Ideally have CIPD
  • Excellent critical thinking and conflict-resolution skills to manage sensitive employee matters, drive HR initiatives, and ensure smooth operations.
