ROLE- Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Development EngineerLOCATION- BerkshireTERM- PermanentSALARY- £45,000- £60,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)My engineering client are looking to take on an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Development Engineer with hands on process improvement and design for manufacturing skills, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.The Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Mechanical Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in a Mechanical Engineering 
  • 4 years’ or more experience working in another similar hands on Manufacturing / Process improvement role
  • Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Previous experience of implementing product and process improvements
  • Proficient working with 3D CAD - SolidWorks or similar for DFM
  • Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP would be desirable
  • Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
  • Be able to pay close attention to detail
  • Previous experience working in an automotive environment / manufacturing site with vehicles or similar would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Mechanical Development Engineer role will involve:
  • Being a strong engineering presence in the department
  • Supporting the engineering and production team with the design, development and improvements of products
  • Being involved in various NPI activities
  • Providing overall engineering support
  • Being involved with process development
  • Working to the companies Health & Safety requirements
  • Creating Work Instructions
  • Working hard to bring products to market quickly
