GI Pro are recruiting for a Plant Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for our Electrical and Electronics waste recycling client based in Newbury

Days: Monday to Friday: 45 hours - Plus 4 hours Saturday mornings totalling 49 hours per week. Plus, overtime.

Offering a pay rate of up to £50,000 (depending on your experience)

Main Duties

  • Inspect and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts and other plant machinery
  • Fixing faults on plant machinery or arranging for replacements to be installed
  • Conducting inspections on plant machinery
  • Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work for Lorries
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Welding activities when necessary
  • Dealing with breakdowns, unplanned problems, and repairs
  • Checking functionality of safety systems
  • Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly

Attributes and Experience

  • Previous Plant mechanical fitting and maintenance experience
  • Experience in repairing mobile plant such as forklifts, Lorries or
  • Experience in repairing conveyor belts, industrial shredders, granulators.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems - represents an advantage, but not essential
  • Welding, Fault find and problem-solving
  • UK Driving Licence
