GI Pro are recruiting for a Plant Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for our Electrical and Electronics waste recycling client based in Newbury
Days: Monday to Friday: 45 hours - Plus 4 hours Saturday mornings totalling 49 hours per week. Plus, overtime.
Offering a pay rate of up to £50,000 (depending on your experience)

Main Duties
- Inspect and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts and other plant machinery
- Fixing faults on plant machinery or arranging for replacements to be installed
- Conducting inspections on plant machinery
- Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work for Lorries
- Preventative maintenance
- Welding activities when necessary
- Dealing with breakdowns, unplanned problems, and repairs
- Checking functionality of safety systems
- Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
Attributes and Experience
- Previous Plant mechanical fitting and maintenance experience
- Experience in repairing mobile plant such as forklifts, Lorries or
- Experience in repairing conveyor belts, industrial shredders, granulators.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems - represents an advantage, but not essential
- Welding, Fault find and problem-solving
- UK Driving Licence
