Our client is looking for a Depot Supervisor to join their office in Newbury.  It’s a really exciting time to join the business, and you will play an important part in this by ensuring all operations carried out in the area depot are to a high standard.    

Responsibilities as Depot Supervisor:

  • Manage and keep records for the entry & exit process of all customer contents.
  • Maintenance, use & record keeping of a fork lift truck, lifting & manual handling equipment.
  • Packing and stacking storage boxes/crates/pallets in line with procedures.
  • Manage, service and repair equipment and where required manage specialist repairs.
  • Inventory management.
  • Facilitate delivery/collection of equipment.
  • Ensure efficient stock control for all equipment spare parts, materials, chemicals, and consumables etc.
  • Assist with external/internal audits.
  • Work towards continual improvement of depot service efficiency.
  • Carry out stock check of fleet as required.

To be suitable for the role, you will have the following qualities:

  • A positive attitude towards an ever-changing set of tasks for the day, able to adapt to priority changes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and computer systems like databases. 
  • A good team player, able to communicate well to get the job completed.
  • Desirable – experience within a similar environment (not essential)
  • Desirable – fork lift truck licence (not essential)
  • Desirable – electrical qualifications (not essential)
  • Good planning, organisational skills, and time-keeping skills
