They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer with an AC background to join their team and help deliver the highest standards of service to clients.
Role Overview
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding, and repair of air conditioning and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. You will primarily work in Pharma/life sciences, commercial and industrial environments, with a particular focus on air conditioning systems, providing technical support, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs. Assisting/undertaking small works installation projects.

Key Responsibilities
Air Conditioning/HVAC Maintenance
Service, and maintain a range of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRF/VRV systems, and chilled water systems.
Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring systems are running efficiently and meet customer specifications.
Ensure systems are correctly calibrated and operating optimally, particularly in environments with strict temperature control requirements.
Customer Service and Support
Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding air conditioning systems, offering professional advice and addressing any service requests or issues.
Provide clear communication with clients regarding the status of their air conditioning systems, making recommendations for improvements or upgrades as needed.
Resolve technical issues on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations while delivering a high standard of service.
Technical Troubleshooting and Repair
Diagnose faults and breakdowns in air conditioning systems, performing in-depth troubleshooting to identify causes and recommend effective solutions.
Carry out repairs or replacements of components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls.
Provide on-site technical support and expertise, ensuring all work is carried out in line with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations, such as health and safety, electrical codes, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate records for all services, including work orders, inspections, and client communication, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the safe handling and disposal of refrigerants in accordance with F-Gas regulations and best practices.
Operational Efficiency and Teamwork
Work closely with other engineers and service teams to ensure effective scheduling and completion of air conditioning service tasks.
Assist in the training and mentoring of junior engineers, sharing knowledge on air conditioning systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts for air conditioning systems, ensuring stock levels are sufficient for fieldwork.
Vehicle and Equipment Management
Oversee the maintenance of company service vehicles, ensuring they are properly stocked with the necessary tools and parts for air conditioning system repairs and installations.
Keep tools, equipment, and systems in good working order to ensure safety and efficiency while on-site.
Continuous Development
Stay updated with the latest air conditioning technologies, refrigerants, and industry best practices, ensuring your skills remain cutting-edge.

Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Service Engineer, with a focus on the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems (split systems, VRF/VRV, and chilled water systems).
Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems and refrigerants, with experience diagnosing and repairing faults.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including F-Gas certification and environmental safety standards.
Ability to troubleshoot complex air conditioning issues and identify effective solutions.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Proficient in using service management software and basic Microsoft Office tools.
A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required.
Gas Safe or equivalent certifications would be advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and be flexible in response to customer needs.
Must have a desire to take on ownership and responsibility for sites/clients and develop the working relationship
