Job Title: Lecturer and Course Leader in Children's Development

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time (Mon,Tues,Wed)

Salary: £15-£16,000k (Actual FT £32,000)

The Role:

The main outline of this role is to ensure the effective organisation and delivery of the NCFE Childcare Level 1 and Level 2 Diploma, with specific responsibility as Course Leader for Level 2. This includes delivering teaching programmes, ensuring compliance with current validation and exam board requirements, and keeping teaching staff informed of any changes.

The role also involves assessing and verifying student work, maintaining course-related files and handbooks, and tracking student performance against assessment schedules. You will liaise with validating agencies, universities, and the College Examination Officer to ensure accurate student registration and accreditation. Additionally, you will oversee the integration of literacy, numeracy, ILT (Information and Learning Technology), and Equal Opportunities within the curriculum, ensuring a well-rounded and inclusive educational experience.

About you:

  • Related qualification at least one grade higher than the teaching level (minimum Level 5)
  • Level 3 Education & Training Award
  • Level 2 English and Maths
  • Minimum of 1 year's teaching experience
  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Experience delivering and organising designated area programmes
