Reed Accountancy are currently working with a returning client based in Newbury seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their growing team of three. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation obligations. You will be responsible for managing the monthly and weekly payroll function for nearly 1,850 employees.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Processing end-to-end monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to all deadlines.
  • Ensuring payroll actions are compliant with legislation and contractual obligations.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll queries and company policies.
  • Performing payroll reconciliations and supporting the Finance Team with payroll reporting.
  • Calculating benefits and producing P11d’s & PSAs for HMRC reporting.
  • Handling Auto Enrolment enquiries and setting up pension schemes.
  • Providing data for internal and external auditors.
  • Performing manual payroll calculations.
  • Maintaining positive and collaborative relationships across all teams and company groups.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with employees and managers.
  • Ability to work within set deadlines and ensure attention to detail.
  • High level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Experience in payroll processing and knowledge of payroll legislation.
  • Team player with a friendly and supportive attitude.

This is a full-time office based role with a 36.25-hour working week, from 8.45 am to 5 pm. Onsite parking is available as well as being close to local public transport links,
