Description
This role will take responsibility for managing the interface between the business and the external estates suppliers. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the acquisition and disposal of commercial property on advantageous terms in accordance with agreed plans
- Proactively challenge costs by ensuring financially beneficial lease renewal settlements, rent reviews restructuring leases, service charge negotiations and business rates refunds
- Disposal of assets in accordance with agreed plans
- Act as escalation point as appropriate for negotiations
Profile
A successful Estates Manager should have:
- A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Experience of managing a multisite estate (ideally commercial but could also include retail) portfolio
- Practical experience of handing acquisition and disposal negotiations
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
