Description
- Cashbook reconciliation for multiple bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations using Excel spreadsheets
- Processing and coding credit card transactions and personal expense claims
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Raising manual invoices
- Making payments
- Processing journals
- Monthly Intrastat and EC Sales,
- Accounting for accruals and prepayments,
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Liaising with credit controller
- Assisting with preparation for year end
- Ad hoc accounts payable queries as required.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Understanding of principles and practices of basic accounting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers
