Finance Assistant - £25,000 + Study Support & Company Benefits - Newbury, Berkshire (5 days in the office)
FryerMiles is partnering with a leading business based in Newbury, Berkshire, to recruit a Finance Assistant as the organisation continues to experience strong growth. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a large team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions as well as supporting with month end.
The duties of the Finance Assistant include:
- Managing all AP queries, taking ownership of any follow-ups when required
- Allocating customer receipts on the system on a daily basis
- Following up with customers for payment on overdue invoices
- Processing customer remittances
- Processing customer application forms
- Reviewing & releasing orders on credit hold, following relevant checks
- Getting approval on supplier invoices & processing on the system in a timely manner
- Reconciling supplier accounts back to statements
- Getting quotes from suppliers when necessary
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
- Involvement with month-end close
- Other ad hoc duties when required
The successful Finance Assistant will:
- Finance & Accountancy Degree or similar Â
- Proactive, detailed-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excel skills (V-look-up, Pivots) Macros would be a nice to have.
- Excellent communicator, willing to build strong working relationships within the business
