Aspiring Therapist - Full Time - Newbury, West Berkshire

An amazing specialist education centre in the Newbury area are excited to take on an Aspiring Therapist graduate to join their support staff team on a full time basis. The specialist educated students with a variety of social, emotional and mental health needs. As an Aspiring Therapist, you will be supporting students with additional needs, with some struggling with challenges relating to developmental trauma and neglect. These young people need consistency and patience in order to help them achieve an education, a perfect opportunity for any Aspiring therapist to see how they can make a difference.

The roles responsibilities will include supporting students on a 1-1 basis, ensuring they maintain focus and stay on task. You will work with the classroom teacher to come up with tailored lesson plans. You will work with dedicated, professional therapists, psychologists and behavior analysts to ensure students can reach their full potential, a rare opportunity for any Aspiring Therapist to see where their career could take them. The successful candidate will learn effective communication skills, confidence and how to coach young people through turbulent situations.
