Salary: £20,516 - pre tax take home, not pro rata

Job Description: This amazing school are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, provide one-on-one assistance to students, and help create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs and adapt resources to meet their requirements.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as marking and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
