Warehouse Operative

We are working with a leading, quality focussed, online retail company as they look to recruit Warehouse Operatives within their busy operation.

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 0800am starts.

Contract type: Temporary leading to permanent opportunities.

Location: Lambourn (RG14) - Own transport preferred due to location.

Planned Start date: Immediate starts available

*Please note that due to the type of products our client produces and distributes, you will need to be physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting involved with this role.*

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To always work in a way that safeguards both your personal safety and the safety of others.
• Container unloading / Handballing.
• Picking and checking customers’ orders.
• Unloading containers.
• Responsible for highlighting any potential quality issues, including hygiene and damage issues to your manager.
• Loading vehicles safely for distribution
• Good time keeping and attendance levels essential.

ABOUT YOU:

• The ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and machine wraps.
• Ability to work in a small team and with minimal supervision to consistently produce results that hit the targets agreed with our company.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Comfortable with heavy container unloading work.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Good knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures.
• Experience in the use of scanning equipment.
• Experience in picking customer orders.
