- Acting as a point of contact for clients, handling adhoc queries.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and addressing related queries.
- Compiling management accounts and VAT returns.
- Finalising accounts after client meetings and making necessary adjustments.
- Preparing accounts from various client systems, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Actioning queries raised by accounts and tax managers regarding accounts and working papers.
- Be ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified or finalist or be qualified by experience
- Experience preparing year-end accounts for owner-managed SMEs, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Ideally, a minimum of four years' experience in an accounting practice.
- Strong technical knowledge with an up-to-date understanding of current legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero would be advantageous.
- A proactive approach, keen to take on additional responsibilities and suggest business and process improvements.
