We are now recruiting for an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our team in Newcastle. The main purpose of this role will be to complete Audit and Accountancy based assignments for the clients of the firm and support the wider Audit & Assurance team with clients within their portfolios.

The main elements of this role will include:

  • Planning, co-ordinating and completing audit assignments and accounts work
  • Preparing statutory accounts for limited company clients together with files for Managers / Partner review
  • Liasing with clients both in advance of and during assignments to ensure we obtain all necessary information
  • Ensuring work is completed to meet external deadlines from client and regulatory authorities and internal deadlines
  • Ensuring full completion of audit or account files for the Managers review is done in an appropriate timescale and within budget
  • Identifying business issues relevant to the clients and ensuring those are brought to the attention of the appropriate Manager / Partner, or directly to the attention of the client
  • Identifying the needs of clients and actively developing business opportunities

The Candidate

In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or be on route to becoming qualified)
  • Comfortable working within a fast paced environment
  • A team player and willing to assist colleagues within the team where possible
  • Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
