A professional services firm with a leading audit team based in Newcastle city centre are looking to appoint an Audit Associate to join them working with both local and national clients. They have strived to create a modern, well equipped office and a vibrant culture which has seen them enjoy good staff retention. The team all work hard, are career focused, yet do enjoy a great work life balance.

The Role:

This offers a great training opportunity for those wishing to qualify as an Auditor and ensure they develop a wide breadth of audit exposure before qualification. You will be exposed to all aspects of the audit process from planning assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them as well as reviewing the budgets through to completing an analytical review.

As an Audit Associate you will take charge leading smaller audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing of others in the team, all with the support from our Manager. This will see you involved in monitoring stock-takes, managing bank letter processes and completing Assignment Feedback Forms.

Some of your work will be based on site while at other times you will be working between home and office.

Experience Required:

We are looking for:

  • ACA Part Qualified or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 months relevant UK work experience in an audit function
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral with an interest to develop key client relationships.
  • Knowledge of current accounting standards, techniques and best practice.
