Job Purpose

  • Provide high level oversight of a busy audit function, providing effective communication on all aspects of audit compliance across the firm.
  • Review hot and cold audit and assurance files.
  • Identify new audit guidance and processes in line with the ever-evolving auditing standards, emerging trends, relevant issues, and review findings.
  • Manage relationships with external audit reviewers.
  • Lead liaison with the ICAEW on audit compliance matters, including managing regulatory visits and implementing recommendations.
  • Monitor audit training needs and champion professional development and compliance knowledge.
  • Planning and performing on-site audit due diligence visits and following up on post-completion file reviews.
  • Setting an example as a hands-on Director.
