Full or Part Time Audit Senior Job Vacancy

We are delighted to be representing a contemporary national accountancy firm in their search for an Audit Senior in Newcastle upon Tyne to join their expanding, modern team and support the Audit Managers with the provision of audit for a growing portfolio of exciting clients. This role is available on a full or part time basis.

This opportunity will suit someone who is ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified or studying, with as sound level of audit experience within an accountancy practice. You will have great fundamental communication skills and attention to detail will also be essential for this role.

You will likely be working already as a Senior looking for an exciting new challenge or you will already be working at Semi Senior level and be excited to develop and showcase your skills in audit. You will be ready to support the managers in creating a positive working environment, whilst ensuring the highest quality service is delivered. You will be excited to work as part of a brilliant team who create the highest standard of audit solutions for valued clients.

Job Purpose

  • Prepare and review general accounts.
  • The provision of audit services in the office and in the field.
  • Support the Audit Seniors and Manager to coach trainees and support with their learning and development.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure these are met.
  • Identify and assess risk.
  • Able to work alongside and part of the audit team and other sectors of the firm and support with company growth.Ability to identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
  • Confident in networking to promote the department.
  • Playing an integral part in the efficiency of the audit team and championing the firm’s values within the team.
  • Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills.

  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified or studying with fundamental level audit experience within practice

  • Supervisory level experience and a drive to progress to mentor and train junior accountants
  • Technically efficient in both audit and accounting
  • Effective communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
