Operating a substantial Finance function from its North East headquarters it is maximising investment in its development - team members, processes and technology - developing a continuous improvement framework to build a culture of excellence, quality and innovation.
We are newly looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the company’s dynamic and high-performing Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with exceptional business partnering experience, supporting the business to drive outstanding results via value adding insight and analysis, adapting to changing needs.
Your main responsibilities as Finance Business Partner will include:
- Supporting business leaders to drive performance through insight and commercial acumen
- Ensuring measures are in place to keep KPIs/OKRs on track
- Reviewing key metrics to ensure that KPIs/OKRs are driving the right behaviours
- Challenging business stakeholders, whilst maintaining strong working relationships
- Identifying potential risks and opportunities, working with leadership to implement mitigating or maximising actions
- Business case development for long term investment plans
- Carry out business planning, budgeting and forecasting exercises with business leads
- Ensuring best practice - a consistent, efficient and thorough approach with other FBPs and the wider finance team
- Providing guidance on financial controls and rigour, collaborating with internal audit
- Communicating performance to management, supporting in understand P&L movements, trends and variances in monthly reviews
- Assisting in developing action plans to improve performance, supporting management in monitoring progress and reporting on outcomes
- Providing training and education to a range of stakeholders
- Developing and championing more effective use of data by colleagues across the business to support better understanding and commerciality
As Finance Business Partner you’ll need:
- Strong commercial experience in similar role - Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Finance Manager, preferably gained in a larger, fast-moving, service-driven business and/or supporting/partnering operational teams
- Experience such as retail planning/forecasting, MI and reporting extremely beneficial
- Qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA (or equivalent)
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
- Advanced in the use of Excel Office, ERP (eg SunSystems) and products such as Power BI Revenue Insight
- Highly numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail
