Sellick Partnership is currently assisting in the recruitment of a Finance Officer for an organisation within the Public Sector on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities of the Finance Officer include:
- Managing tasks related to the purchase ledger, such as sourcing suppliers, verifying requisitions, creating purchase orders, matching delivery documents, and processing invoices for payment.
- Examine supplier statements and reconcile them with the finance system, addressing any discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier records within the finance accounting system, including setting up new suppliers and amending any changes of details where necessary.
- Prepare supplier payment runs, ensuring invoices are paid promptly and in line with the terms of sale
The ideal candidate will:
- Experience working within a Finance department
- Experience with accounting systems
- Experiencing purchase ledger processing
- AAT qualified, part-qualified and continuing studying towards the qualification
