As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for a portfolio of schools and will work closely with principals and head teachers to prepare and analyse budgets, prepare management accounts, and identify cost saving opportunities.

Created in 2023 due to a merger, my client are an Education Trust made up of 18 schools. They have c700 employees and are committed to providing educational excellence to their students.

Description

  • Prepare financial statements and budget reports
  • Perform cost analyses and suggest cost-saving measures
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Comply with financial regulations and standards
  • Facilitate internal audits and address any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial procedures
  • Provide financial advice to management to aid decision-making
  • Contribute to the development of the team and the organisation as a whole

Profile

  • Demonstrable experience in a Management Accountant role
  • Multi Academy Trust or Charity experience would be desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving

Job Offer

Full time and permanent role + Paying £38,626 - £41,511 + Office based with 1 day working from home per week + Term time only hours will be considered + Generous pension + Excellent company benefits
