Personal Tax Trainee / Private Client Associate . Trainee - Newcastle

The Role:

As a Private Client Tax Associate you will support the team to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing their tax returns, and making sure everything with their tax affairs is up to date with current tax laws. The role is as much to do with building relationships with your clients as it is calculating numbers and understanding tax guidance. You will be regularly chasing information from your clients, liaising with the HMRC on their behalf and dealing with their day to day queries.

Experience Required:

  • Applicants will need to demonstrate the following:
  • An interest in a career in tax
  • Strong communicator, confident to develop new relationships both on teams, phone, e-mail and face to face
  • The ability to use your own initiative and work effectively alone as well as part of a wider team
  • Professional and self-assured in your approach
  • Computer literacy and being willing to learn new skills as the move towards digital working accelerates
  • Good attention to detail.

You must also hold:

  • An Undergraduate degree in any discipline at 2:2 or above
  • Willing to study towards a professional qualification (ATT)
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Please note this role is open to those without any prior tax experience but you must satisfy the above criteria to be considered.
