Large Accountancy firm with prestigious offices in Newcastle city centre are looking to appoint a Qualified Accountant to join their expanding team who provide reporting services on behalf of their clients which include management reporting, bookkeeping, statutory accounting (UK GAAP and IFRS), regulatory reporting, treasury and payroll.

We are seeking an ambitious individual with a commercial mind with hands on experience in client work, engaging in projects related to accounting and compliance reporting. The environment is fast paced, exciting and demanding at times, we are looking for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment where clients and team need to evolve daily.

Your Role:

You will be working across teams assisting in the delivery of bookkeeping, management, statutory and regulatory reporting for a wide diverse of clients.

You will work effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel, whilst building strong internal relationships within Managed Services and across other areas

Maintain client confidentiality and always ensure data security.

Contribute to people initiatives within the team which will include training.

Your experience:

  • We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACA/CA or equivalent) preferably with first time passes
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years practical UK experience working to IFRS and UK GAAP gained within the reporting arena
  • Proven ability to analyse and create innovative solutions to problems
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to remain calm when meeting deadlines
  • Flexible working attitude
  • A real desire to develop your technical skills by learning from others around you
  • Hold a proactive approach to the delivery / implementation of client engagements
  • Ability to network effectively within large organisations and build relationships with teams and clients
