We are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s most established law firms to find a Revenue Controller based in Newcastle.

The salary for this role is £31,000, and the hours are 37.5 per week (8:30am-5pm) with the opportunity for hybrid working once fully trained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing WIP, debt and unbilled disbursements for specific clients and teams in the business in line with targets.
  • Recovering outstanding debt.
  • Working closely with partners and other fee earners to review WIP, debt and unbilled disbursements, and providing updates to the Accounts Manager and Finance Director.
  • Using the firm's credit control system to manage tasks and update actions.
  • Ensuring timely and effective billing to enable more prompt cash collection.
  • Dealing with invoicing issues received from clients or internally.
  • Ensuring correct billing setup in the finance system to facilitate the billing process.
  • Actioning requests for information from clients and internally.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of improved revenue control processes.
  • Assistance with allocating cash in the finance system.
  • Assistance with client and matter maintenance on the systems.
  • Assistance with review and maintenance of client billing requirements including charge out rates.
  • Chasing uncompleted time and dealing with time recording queries from fee earners.
  • Assistance with monitoring client balances.
