An exciting opportunity to join an established and well-respected organisation as Events Officer.

We are looking for someone who has ideally 3 to 4 years previous experience of organising large scale events within a B2B environment.

Reporting to the Employee Communications and Events Manager, this is a newly created role to further support our market engagement internationally, nationally and locally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively, deliver our attendance at international exhibitions acrosscritical industries.
  • Manage a range of external contractors including event organisers, stand-builders, model makers and freight forwarders to deliver all aspects of events from initialconception to brand experience.
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of event administration including badge registration, delegation requests, diary management and logistics.
  • Develop suitable brand and campaign messaging in collaboration with our inhouse multimedia designer.
  • Further our brand presence, efficiency and effectiveness by codifying our assetsand supporting commonality across appropriate markets.
  • Deliver internal events such as demonstrations, media visits and VIP engagementsworking with the relevant internal departments and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support our attendance at a wide range of school and university careers events aswell as internal activities to support employee retention, development andattraction in collaboration with our HR team.
  • Support our social value activities by delivering community engagement events

Skills & Experience

  • A proven track record in event management, preferably including exhibitions.
  • Able to link marketing objectives to event delivery and outcomes.
  • Able to manage multiple contractors to deliver a common objective.
  • Able to think laterally when problem solving.
  • Acts with honesty/integrity to build trust, respect, and commitment in the workplace.
  • Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal awareness and understanding.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
