The Company
Our client is a market leading Engineering company. Growth is the reason for their requirement for a Junior Maintenance Technician. They want to develop an Engineer recently out of their apprenticeship.
The Role
- Maintain preventative maintenance plan with weekly scheduled and targeted checks.
- Perform a variety of all routine maintenance, fault finding and repair work on plant equipment including pumps, fans, gear boxes, shafts, water lines, valves, belts, motors, electrical panels, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electronic control systems.
- Carry out activity according to production plan, organize and prioritize routine jobs liaising with production planner and cell leaders.
- Ensure adequate supplies are carried for routine work and for common identified failure modes.
- PAT testing/in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment maintaining records and schedule.
- To install and commission plant and machinery. Carry out machine upgrades and development in conjunction with the Production Department.
- Ensure that breakdown logs are kept and are accurate for data analysis purposes. Ensure that machine records and manuals etc. are accessible and are in good working order.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks (TPM) on allocated machinery and report major maintenance issues.
- Compete valid risk assessments for all work undertaken.
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times. Assist in the enforcement of safe working practices and conditions.
The Person
- Must be time served or close to completion of apprenticeship.
- Happy to work day shift hours.
- FMCG or engineering experience ispreferred.
- Experience in a similar role preferable.
- Will ideally be multi skilled.
- 18th Edition qualification preferred.
