Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Northumberland, United Kingdom

Salary: 40,000-60,000 DOE

Jackson Hogg in delighted to be working with a leading offshore subsea engineering business, which delivers offshore equipment to oil&gas industries. They are currently undergoing expansion and looking for capable engineers to join their progressive team.

This is a permanent, hybrid role with offshore travelling.

Electrical Commissioning Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process for offshore equipment and systems, full lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for the successful integration and testing of complex equipment.
  • Conduct site inspections and testing to verify sub-systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and/or control technical issues that arise during the commissioning process, and during offshore trials.
  • Provide onsite, offshore and office based technical support and training to customers and end-users on the operation and maintenance of commissioned equipment.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of commissioning activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Project Owners to ensure commissioning milestones are achieved within project timelines and budget constraints.

Electrical Commissioning Engineer Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
  • Proven experience in commissioning engineering, preferably in the offshore or marine industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of offshore equipment and systems.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to offshore sites and customer locations as required.
