A leading LED lighting solutions company in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer for a 6-month contract to support product development and improvements.

Role Overview:

Design and layout PCBs, taking projects from prototype to production.
Develop and enhance LED lighting systems and legacy product improvements.
Conduct fault finding, testing, and documentation on electronic systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive innovation.
Maintain technical files and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years in electronics design/production.
Strong understanding of LED lighting systems, PCB design, and fault-finding.
Experience with CAD tools, soldering (PTH/SMD), and test procedures.
Knowledge of electronics principles 
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
