Our outstanding and successful client are looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

You will be covering The Northeast, and will attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve technical IT faults to customers EPOS and back office IT equipment.

You'll be the bridge between tech issues and business success - making a tangible difference for customers!

Location: Covering the Northeast (on-site visits + remote reporting)

Travel: Significant regional travel with some overnight stays (full expenses and accommodation provided)

Company Van: Van provided

Hours: 40 hours p/week - Monday to Friday (core hours will be 9am-5:30pm - but these may vary depending on demand)

Salary & Benefits: Salary will be 25,400 plus overtime and standby allowance for nights. Excellent benefits package including 23 days holiday per annum + bank, private healthcare provided through BUPA, death in service (4 x salary), group income protection, company pension.

What You'll Do:

  • On-site maintenance of POS equipment at the customer's premises to ensure full functionality according to the manufacturers' specifications
  • Keep the customer informed at all times of the progress of the work
  • Reporting progress and additional support issues to the relevant helpdesk
  • Complete all relevant documentation to allow performance reports to be produced to monitor customer service
  • Returning faulty equipment to the repair centre with fully completed documentation

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent experience in IT maintenance and fault diagnosis, including hardware, networks, and systems
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, stakeholders and third parties.
  • High degree of flexibility in terms of hours of work and location.
  • High level of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Clean DBS required.
