Rullion are looking to recruit for the following role for one of our global leading Energy clients :

  • Supplier Quality Engineer
  • ASAP Start
  • 12 months initially
  • Inside IR35
  • Location : Newcastle Upon Tyne , UK
  • Hybrid Role with some travel to supplier sites.
  • DBS Required
  • £40ph

Job Description


Mission/

Position Headline:

Support Marine Projects in the development and delivery of robust Quality Control within the Supply Chain (including CA Parsons Works) to ensure supplied product satisfies the Engineering requirements of applicable Purchase Specifications.



Areas of Responsibilty:

Review Controlling Documentation.

Perform Supplier Witness Inspections.

Conduct Audits and Surveillance Visits.

Assist with Supplier Qualification.

Review and Approve Quality Records.

Support completion of Measurement System Analysis.

Support Lessons Learned events.

Monitor Alignment to GS3001 and other applicable Standards.



Dimension of Function/Volume:

The scope of the role includes all products and services supplied for Marine Projects. The Supplier Quality Engineer is the primary resource responsible for the delivery of product aligned to Engineering Specifications. The role is to focus on (a) Assist the Head of Quality in the successful delivery of Marine Projects by applying the defined specifications and controls within the Supply Chain (including CA Parsons Works) (b) Support the Marine Project Team (c) Ensure supplied product meets the required Engineering Specifications (



Contacts
(internal/external):

Reports to the Head of Quality.

Liaises at all levels across the business in order to deliver defined objectives.

Interfaces with Customer Representatives and Suppliers.




Education and Experience



Experience


  • At least 5 years in a Quality Management role ideally with experience of working with Ministry of Defence contracts. Preferred
  • NDT or Machining background ideally
  • Lead Auditor training preferred but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate ability to work methodically with high volume and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and apply requirements of Standards and Procedures.
  • Applicants need to have a Driving License.

Education & Training


  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in an Engineering related subject. Preferred
  • Proficient in the use Digital Technologies.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Desirable.
