Overview:
Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting an SME manufacturer in the North East in the search for a Sales Engineer. This is an entry level role with the opportunity to develop into a Senior Sales Engineer! Ideally you will have some form of mechanical qualification, and looking to start your career within a sales role. This is an internal sales position, but you may visit clients on an ad hoc basis to understand their needs in further detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in bid processes, challenging costs and estimates to ensure margin maximisation.
- Consistently meet and exceed company standards in performance and customer service.
- Represent the company professionally in both internal and external client meetings, upholding high standards of communication and behaviour.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, inspiring confidence, trust, and repeat business through excellent customer service.
- Identify and explore potential new client opportunities, presenting these to senior management for further action.
- Seek opportunities for upselling and maximising revenue within the existing market.
- Contribute to achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets.
- Support the initial review of purchase orders and accurately record data for senior manager approval.
- Ensure strict adherence to departmental processes and procedures.
- Prepare and submit quotations promptly while adhering to specified requirements and guidelines.
