Your new companyHays Accountancy are currently working with an established claim management company based in Newcastle, that are looking to recruit a full-time Debt Recovery Team Leader to join their busy team on site. Your new role

To assist the Head of Department with the day-to-day management of the Debt Recovery Team, with the aim of ensuring maximum client conversion and debt recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Debt Recovery Paralegals.
  • Achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings.
  • Liaise with clients on compensation claims.
  • Perform residency searches and assess debtors' ability to pay.
  • Initiate Pre-Action Protocols and issue proceedings.
  • Draft court documents and witness statements.
  • Prepare cases for trial.
  • Collaborate with in-house legal teams and external agencies

What you'll need to succeedYou will have experience of leading a team and handling clients, and the claims process along with debt recovery. The ability to motivate, coach and support others and work towards deadlines and performance objectives.
