Position: Assistant Building Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: 28,600 - 30,000
Working Pattern: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Driving Required: No
Location: Extremely accessible via Public Transport
Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Building Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our high standards of customer service and Health, Safety, and Facilities Management are met. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and monitoring all Hard and Soft services to ensure effective delivery, including establishing planned preventative maintenance programmes.
- Assisting the Building Manager in conducting supplier contract meetings and assessing performance through KPIs.
- Validating invoices for services provided and monitoring ongoing expenditures.
- Promoting occupier engagement through tenant meetings and networking events.
- Managing requests for minor works and ensuring their completion to the highest standards.
- Conducting daily safety tours and property inspections, reporting findings in a timely manner.
- Overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
- Collaborating with the Management Team on the Service Charge budget.
- Ensuring prompt resolution of service/maintenance issues and keeping all parties informed.
- Maintaining accurate property information and liaising with occupiers and service providers.
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Facilities Management and a strong understanding of Managing Agent responsibilities.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification (essential); membership of IWFM or IOSH is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, with a professional and supportive demeanour.
- A flexible and adaptable attitude with strong self-motivation.
- Good management skills to drive staff performance and maintain high standards.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and experience in managing related issues.
