The Opportunity

Nigel Wright Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this growing organisation as they undertake a significant transformation and modernisation journey. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Business Analyst to join a dynamic team, contributing to large-scale projects that will drive improvements in legacy systems and support the overall modernisation of the organisation.

The business has been established for over 120 years and supports a diverse range of members across the UK, from small enterprises to global organisations. Offering a wide range of services, including HR, compliance, training, and business improvement, the organisation is dedicated to delivering excellent building engineering services.

As part of a newly formed transformation and change team, the Business Analyst will work closely with the Head of Programmes and Change. The team is expanding to five members: the Head of Programmes and Change, a Project Manager, two Business Analysts (one already in place), and a Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for multiple transformation projects.
  • Analyse and evaluate legacy systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and modernisation.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, including a new customer/membership system (CRM), with selection by November 2024 and implementation beginning in 2025.
  • Ensure that project goals align with broader organisational objectives and drive efficiency improvements across both technical and business processes.
  • Assist in defining project scope, milestones, and deliverables, working closely with the project management team to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous identification of future projects and potential areas for improvement.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a small or mid-sized enterprise environment.
  • Strong skills in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Experience working through the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Office working
  • This role is fully remote, with occasional travel (once a month) to UK offices, including Penrith and London.
