The OpportunityNigel Wright are searched for a temporary Business Analyst to join a leading public sector organisation undergoing a very exciting period of transformation. This organisation directly impacts the local region and has ambitious plans for change. The business analyst would help do some requirements gathering around their current systems and processes and help identify the key areas needed as the organisation changes and evolves. Duration: 3 months, highly likely to extend Location: Newcastle city centre / hybrid working - 1/2 days onsite in NewcastleStart date: ASAP Salary: circa. £55,000 - paid PAYE (holiday entitlement, pension auto-enrolment) The RoleThis role will help drive and support the seamless execution of transformation projects aimed at enhancing organisational performance and efficiency. The BA will play a crucial role in understanding the organisational needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable solutions that align with strategic objectives. This includes conducting thorough analyses of business processes, gathering and interpreting data and recommending changes to optimise operations,. 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Review current business processes to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement and recommend changes to enhance productivity and effectiveness through the creation of as is and to-be process mapping. 
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings and interviews to gather insights and feedback for process improvements 
  • Identify, collate and analyse data to support decision making and identify trends or patterns that can inform strategic planning 
Skills and experience requirements
  • You should have existing experience within Business Analysis (any not for profit or psec experience would be beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience leading workshops
  • Experience with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Comfortable leading and taking initiative for projects
