Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Building Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our high standards of customer service and Health, Safety, and Facilities Management are met. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and monitoring all Hard and Soft services to ensure effective delivery, including establishing planned preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Assisting the Building Manager in conducting supplier contract meetings and assessing performance through KPIs.
  • Validating invoices for services provided and monitoring ongoing expenditures.
  • Promoting occupier engagement through tenant meetings and networking events.
  • Managing requests for minor works and ensuring their completion to the highest standards.
  • Conducting daily safety tours and property inspections, reporting findings in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
  • Collaborating with the Management Team on the Service Charge budget.
  • Ensuring prompt resolution of service/maintenance issues and keeping all parties informed.
  • Maintaining accurate property information and liaising with occupiers and service providers.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Facilities Management and a strong understanding of Managing Agent responsibilities.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (essential); membership of IWFM or IOSH is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, with a professional and supportive demeanour.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude with strong self-motivation.
  • Good management skills to drive staff performance and maintain high standards.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and experience in managing related issues.
