  • Job Title: Roving Facilities Manager
  • Location: Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne
  • Contract Details: Permanent
  • Salary: From £35,000 per annum + Car Allowance
  • Driving Required: Yes - car parking space available
  • Working Pattern: Full Time - 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

As the Roving Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the effective management of health, safety, and facilities across a multi-site, multiclient portfolio of commercial and mixed-use properties. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and monitoring the delivery of both hard and soft services on site to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Conducting regular contract meetings with suppliers and assessing their performance and compliance
  • Procuring goods and services in line with departmental procedures
  • Validating invoices and monitoring expenditure
  • Managing and coordinating minor works on site
  • Conducting regular property inspections and reporting on health and safety, property condition, and service delivery
  • Implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental management systems
  • Assisting in the production and management of service charge budgets
  • Resolving service and maintenance issues within acceptable time frames
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date property information
  • Working within a team of 3 other Facilities Managers
  • Site visits as far as Teeside, Alnwick, Carlisle, and Whitby.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Membership of BIFM and/or IOSH at the appropriate level (highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation
  • Good understanding of Facilities Management and Managing Agent responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant relationships in commercial property
  • Experience in managing Health and Safety and related issues.
  • Contract management skills and experience with performance management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of soft services aspects of Facilities Management
  • Understanding of Hard services in the Facilities environment
  • Interest in the business and development of the Commercial division within the Property teams
