Are you a passionate leader ready to inspire a dynamic team? We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Customer Service Team Leader to join our client's friendly organisation in the manufacturing industry.

This role requires at least 3 days per week in a dog-friendly office in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Working Hours:

  • Official hours are 9-5 Monday to Thursday and 9-2 on Fridays, with flexitime managed to ensure office coverage.
  • Some weekend cover (up to 4 hours) is required on a rota basis to handle key customer communications.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the performance of our dedicated customer service team, ensuring consistently high standards in resolving inquiries and maintaining engagement.
  • Organise staffing levels and weekend rotas to guarantee adequate coverage and seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies and processes for efficient working practises.
  • Manage customer inquiries via email and telephone, taking ownership of escalations and feedback.
  • Cultivate strong communication with other departments to enhance collaboration and proactive problem-solving.
  • Analyse data monthly to identify trends and present insights to the wider organisation.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a customer service role, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to teamwork and individual responsibilities.
  • Ability to motivate and support team members while fostering a friendly and open-minded atmosphere.
