Paid Search Manager profile: 

You will have some prior knowledge of running advertising campaigns across Google & Microsoft Search. You should ideally be experienced in producing detailed paid media plans that make use of a variety of objectives and targeting types. You should also have knowledge of how to monitor search ad performance and make changes to improve results where required. Previous experience working in a paid marketing agency or in house role is required.

Paid Search Manager responsibilities: 

  • Making changes within the bidding platforms.
  • Analysing data and making recommendations and changes within the planforms.
  • Setting up and launching campaigns.
  • Ensuring QA process are being followed and all work is the highest quality.
  • Performance is closely monitored and recommendations for improvements are always made, including ownership of test & learn roadmaps.
  • Supporting with pulling, analysing and presenting reports on a weekly basis
  • Spot trends within the data and analyse to deliver learnings to clients.
  • Be confident in presenting reports to clients.
  • Be supportive for ad hock and wider reporting requirements.
  • Post campaign analysis of campaigns and briefs
  • Testing frameworks and roadmap creation
  • Working across a range of tasks on a day to day basis.
  • End of month reconciliation of finance.
  • Annual, quarterly and monthly forecasting.
  • Post campaign analysis.
  • Support development of direct reports.
  • Monitoring campaign performance daily.

Experience required: 

  • Have an analytical mindset that is comfortable with numbers and lots of data.
  • Working with the Google, Microsoft and Search Ads 360 platforms to make day to day changes, analyse information and design test & learn roadmaps.
  • Be eager to learn and to grow within the role, to develop your understanding of the Search market, alongside client understanding.
  • The role will include client communication, so the candidate will need to feel comfortable speaking to clients on a weekly basis.
  • Be a team player and develop talent within the marketing team to help them achieve their full potential
  • Google, and Microsoft, SA360 is not essential but this or any other third-party bidding platforms would be a bonus. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPo
  • Experience pitching search ideas to clients and delivering presentations, whilst promoting an understanding of how search advertising feeds into the wider marketing mix. We expect you to be up to speed with the latest advertising technologies, targeting & creative options (and knowing how to make best use of them).
