The Civil Engineering Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, infrastructure, and groundworks. The role involves working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and deliver detailed and competitive pricing. The Estimator will ensure that all costs are accounted for and that estimates align with client requirements and company budgets.

Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
- A degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Membership or progress towards membership with a professional body (e.g., RICS, ICE) is desirable.
- Proven experience in a similar estimating role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
Experience:
- Strong experience in estimating for civil engineering projects such as highways, drainage, infrastructure, or groundworks.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Causeway, Conquest, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of current construction costs, procurement processes, and contract types (e.g., NEC, JCT).
Additional Requirements:
- Full UK driving license (for site visits and client meetings).
- Ability to travel to sites and client meetings across the North East of England as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
