Temporary Maintenance Technician/Handyman - £16 - £17p/h Newcastle Upon Tyne
Immediate Start, 9:00 - 17:30 Monday-Friday
My client provides high quality student housing, in both shared houses and apartments, in 24 cities across the UK, leading the way in offering exceptional student accommodation. I am recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team to manage repairs and maintenance across their portfolio of student houses in Newcastle.
Duties include:
- Providing high standard repairs, maintenance and decorating across a portfolio of high quality student housing
- Working and interacting with student customers to rectify maintenance issues
- Completing planned and reactive maintenance
- Undertaking health and safety checks
- Carrying out statutory compliance inspections where necessary
- Energy and utility management including meter reading and broadband service management
- Basic seasonal garden maintenance
What we need from you:
- Full, clean driving license
- Experience completing repairs and planned maintenance
- Experience in painting
- Experience in basic maintenance (carpentry, plumbing and electrical)
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Proactive and positive attitude to work under own initiative Strong IT skills with the ability to use IOS on Iphone and IPad and experience with Microsoft Office
